Having launched its first 166mm solar cell in 2019 at its factories in Tianjin in 2019, AECO launched its first 210mm high-efficiency solar cell in its new factory in Yiwu, China with a production capacity of 5GW. It is worth mentioning here that Yiwu, China, is considered to be the second largest global trading center in China and the second largest community for Arab communities, especially in Yemen.
AECO plans to produce 22 GW of high-efficiency single-crystal silicon solar cells by the end of 2020, 32 GW by the end of 2021, and 45 GW by the end of 2022, cementing its position as a leader for high-efficiency solar cell manufacturers.
This technology will contribute significantly to reducing the prices of not only solar cells, but also the aesthetic cost of installing large systems for solar power plants by reducing the cost of other components of the system.
