DataBM Digital Energy released a list of the top 10 solar panel shipping companies in China during the first quarter of 2026, which showed the continued dominance of major companies as the gap between them and small and medium-sized companies widened.

  • Ginko Solar topped the list with 13.7 GW of solar panels, taking advantage of its global reach and integrated manufacturing capabilities.
  • Trina Solar finished in second place with 13 GW, based on the integration of the production chain from chips to panels.
  • LONGi came in third with 12.62 GW, maintaining its position among the top manufacturers globally.
  • JA Solar took fourth place with 11.87 GW, completing the group of four major companies with shipments exceeding 11 GW in a quarter.
  • Tongwei registered 7.7 GW, benefiting from its vertical integration of polysilicon to panels.
  • Astronergy (Chent) continued its expansion into distributed markets inside and outside of China.
  • Aiko achieved 4 GW of plate shipments, with its focus on high-efficiency ABC (full rear contact) technology.
  • TCL Zhonghuan entered the list in tenth place with shipments of 2.9 GW.

The data shows that the solar panel market is becoming more concentrated in the hands of a limited number of large companies, with the top four companies alone capturing more than 51 GW of shipments during the first quarter of 2026. TOPCon technology continues to dominate most shipments, while back-contact (BC) technologies such as ABC, TBC and HIPC continue to expand into the high-efficiency panel category.
