World’s Most Efficient Six-Junction Solar Cell

•1 min read

Researchers in National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) of the U.S. Department of Energy recently installed a solar cell consisting of 6 binary connections with an energy conversion efficiency of up to 39.2% at standard radiation intensity, and when focusing light intensity with a lens to a range of 143 times for standard radiation the solar cell conversion efficiency can reach 47.1%.
