{"id":545,"date":"2020-01-09T07:40:15","date_gmt":"2020-01-09T04:40:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yemen-solar.com\/?p=545"},"modified":"2020-01-09T07:40:15","modified_gmt":"2020-01-09T04:40:15","slug":"uae-announces-tender-for-a-new-solar-power-plant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yemen-solar.com\/?p=545","title":{"rendered":"UAE Announces Tender for a New Solar Power Plant"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-paragraph\">The UAE Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA) has announced the launch of a tender to establish a solar power plant with an independent production capacity of 500 MW in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain, which is expected to be implemented during late 2020 and those wishing to enter this tender must apply before January 23 to obtain approval to enter this tender if their companies meet the necessary standards. <br>She stressed that the developer will own a 40% stake in the project, and the Federal Electricity and Water Authority and the Government of Umm Al Quwain will own the remaining 60%, and the structure of the project will include a government sovereign guarantee. <br>Which was launched is an expansion of the previously announced plant in January 2019 with a capacity of 200 MW, which was planned in the oasis of Falaj Al Mualla or it will be the first attempt of the small emirate to build large-scale solar plants where Umm Al Quwain is the second <br>The smallest and least populated emirate in the United Arab Emirates.
