Large solar plants accounted for 85% of the installations with 6,242 MW while rooftop solar systems accounted for 15% or about 1,104 MW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-paragraph\">Mercom estimates that by 2022, total solar construction will be around 65-70 GW, based on current market conditions. Total cumulative solar construction and projects in India were around 35.7 GW at the end of December 2019.
